All PhD candidates in a TUM Innovation Network are members of the International Graduate School of Science and Engineering (IGSSE). They must complete the IGSSE's coordinated qualification program and are supervised by two principal investigators of the network (tandem supervision).
The IGSSE provides an interdisciplinary and excellent structured doctoral training and offers ideal conditions for a doctorate in an Innovation Network.
The selection of doctoral candidates is made by the respective Innovation Network as soon as the composition of the new Innovation Network has been determined and a funding decision made by the TUM Board of Management. You can find general information about doing a doctorate at TUM on the website of the TUM Graduate School.
