The SEED Center is excited to share that our student team Fishnergy will soon represent the Technical University of Munich (TUM) at the SDG Olympiad 2025, taking place October 10-13 in Geneva.
The team first came together during our International Summer School 2025, where their innovative idea quickly stood out.
Their project Fishnergy transforms fish waste into biogas, generating electricity to power cold storage hubs, extend fish shelf life, and reduce carbon emissions. This solution not only addresses food waste but also contributes to the global transition toward cleaner energy.
In Geneva, the team will present their work at the SDG Solution Space alongside student innovators from more than ten universities worldwide. They will pitch their solution to an international jury and join workshops to explore how to scale their impact.
We are proud to see the journey of Fishnergy continue from our International Summer School to the global stage and wish the team every success at the finals!
