The final event will take place during the IEEE PELS Southern Power Electronics Conference (SPEC) at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg 🇿🇦 from 1 to 5 December 2025.

This recognition follows our successful completion of the EBL Field-Testing Phase in Kympisi Living Lab, Uganda, where our team explored how circular energy systems can create lasting impact through productive use of renewable energy in local communities.

The Empower a Billion Lives initiative, driven by the IEEE Power Electronics Society, connects innovators across the world to design scalable, sustainable solutions for universal energy access, a mission that lies at the very heart of the SEED Center ⚙️🌏
