From 28 October to 06 November 2025, the ITB SEED Center hosted an intensive Summer School on Renewable Energy Systems at the Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) Campus in Bandung and in Bali.
The program brought together students, researchers, and practitioners for a rich learning experience that combined academic depth with practical insight. Over the course of ten days, participants engaged in sessions focusing on the future of renewable energy systems and sustainable power, including lectures, field visits, cultural activities, and participation in the ICHVEPS Workshop.
The TUM SEED Center is proud to have supported six students from its Network of partner universities, including Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), Makerere University, NUST Namibia, the Burkina Institute of Technology, and the Technical University of Munich. Their participation enabled cross-cultural exchange, collaborative learning, and networking with peers and experts from across the region.
A particular highlight was the contribution of Prof. Dr. Thomas Hamacher (Technical University of Munich), who enriched the program with lectures and workshop sessions on energy transition, photovoltaic systems, and sustainable power systems. His input provided participants with valuable perspectives on current challenges and future directions in the energy transition.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to our partners at the ITB SEED Center, all speakers, and the organizing team for making this Summer School a valuable learning and networking experience for all participants.
