Empowering Collaboration with the Global South: Insights from TUM SEED Center

We're delighted to share that TUM SEED Center was actively engaged at the TUM Global South Roundtable on October 16, 2023. This collaborative platform brought together diverse stakeholders with a common goal: to shape TUM's roadmap for impactful research and education partnerships with Global South countries as part of the Technical University of Munich Global South Initiative.

Sharing Our SEED Experiences
During this significant gathering, on behalf of the TUM SEED Center, Prof. Dr. Frank-Martin Belz had the privilege of presenting our program and experiences in working closely with universities in the Global South within the SEED-network.

A Global Perspective
Joining us at the roundtable was Dr. Betty Nabuuma from Makerere University, Uganda, who shared valuable insights and experiences. Our discussions emphasized lessons learned, challenges, areas for improvement, and most importantly, the vast opportunities for collaboration with our Global South counterparts.

We firmly believe that partnering with Global South universities is a two-way journey. Their contextual knowledge combined with our formal access to world-class education and research creates a synergy that can yield remarkable results.
