We are thrilled to share the remarkable achievement of our Research Coordinator, Dr. Alessia Argiolas, on her latest publication titled "Social Entrepreneurs Concerned About Impact Drift: Evidence from Contexts of Persistent and Pervasive Need." 📚 This insightful research was published in the prestigious Journal of Business Venturing.
Unveiling Impact Drift
In her paper, Dr. Argiolas introduces the concept of 'Impact Drift' and provides a thought-provoking model that illustrates how committed social entrepreneurs, who are addressing long-standing and widespread societal challenges, wrestle with the concern of potentially separating their socially beneficial actions (means) from the attainment of lasting social impact outcomes (ends). Her research reaches beyond the borders of Sub-Saharan Africa and provides valuable insights applicable to scholars and individuals devoted to tackling social issues through entrepreneurial initiatives.
It is with great pride that we share that this research has been recognized by 100x Impact Accelerator, an organization powered by the The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). We also acknowledge the incredible contributions of Dr. Argiolas' co-authors, Hans Rawhouser and Alisa Sydow, in bringing this research to fruition. 🤝
