Current topics in immunology and oncology with networking opportunities
The seminar alternates between two setups:
- Setup 1: Discussion of a recent paper among the PhD students in the first half of the seminar. Discussion with the first author of the paper. PhD students have the opportunity to ask scientific questions and career oriented questions
- Setup 2: Introduction into the topic by the lecturer (the topic is either a new experimental method or a career-relevant soft skill). Discussion with the invited guest from pharma/biotech. PhD students have the opportunity to ask topic-specific questions or career oriented questions
Learning objectives:
- To critically discuss the newest scientific findings in the fields of immunology and oncology
- To gain a better understanding of what skills are required for different types of science-related careers
