In early December 2025, the TUM SEED Center participated in the DAAD DIES conference in Berlin under the theme
“Creating impact in challenging times – equitable higher education cooperation with the Global South for innovative and sustainable societies.”
It was an honour to represent the SEED Center at the Gallery Walk “Success stories and models of good practice” and to share how our long-term collaboration with partner universities contributes to building sustainable and equitable academic partnerships. The SEED Center was represented by team members Saltanat Kuntuarova, Betty Nabuuma, and James Katende, who showcased our work and engaged with partners from around the world.
The event offered valuable perspectives on how to strengthen exchange between institutions in the Global South and Germany. Discussions highlighted the important role of DAAD programmes in enabling meaningful cooperation, capacity development and joint knowledge creation across borders, particularly in times of increasing geopolitical and societal challenges.
The TUM SEED Center is grateful to be part of this network and looks forward to continuing its collaboration with DAAD and partner universities to advance innovative, sustainable and equitable higher education cooperation.
