The TUM SEED Center is pleased to announce limited participation grants for selected students from SEED partner universities to join the Summer School on Renewable Energy Systems 2026, organized by the School of Electrical Engineering and Informatics at Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) and the ITB-TUM SEED Center.

The international summer school will take place from 27 July to 8 August 2026 in Bandung and Garut, Indonesia, bringing together postgraduate students from domestic and international backgrounds to discuss current developments in renewable energy systems and the global energy transition.

The program combines lectures, workshops, group discussions, and technical visits, focusing on renewable electricity systems, sustainable energy technologies, entrepreneurship, and techno-economic aspects of energy solutions. Participants will also join the International Conference on Power Engineering and Renewable Energy (ICPERE).

Highlights of the program include technical visits to:

• Cirata Hydroelectric Power Plant (1008 MW)
• Cirata Floating Solar Power Plant, the largest in Southeast Asia (192 MW)
• Kamojang Geothermal Power Plant

Participation grants from the TUM SEED Center are available for selected students from the following SEED partner universities:

• Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (Ghana)
• Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (India)

• Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (Peru)
• Stellenbosch University (South Africa)
• Makerere University (Uganda)

The TUM SEED Center fosters academic exchange and interdisciplinary collaboration at the intersection of sustainable energies, entrepreneurship, and development in the Global South, contributing to SDG 7: Affordable and Clean Energy for All.
