The TUM ENERGISE Centre is pleased to announce the call for participation in the ENERGISE Sustainable Business Model Competition 2026, inviting TUM Master’s students to develop innovative business model solutions for a Just Energy Transition in South Africa.

Participants will work on real-world energy challenges, supported by mentoring and international exchange, and gain hands-on experience in sustainable business model development.

The competition consists of two stages. During the local phase at TUM, student teams develop and submit their business model concepts. The two best teams will be selected to receive dedicated coaching and advance to the international final round at the ENERGISE Symposium 2026 (September 14–18, 2026, Johannesburg), where they will pitch their ideas to an international jury.

Participation requirements:

• Teams of TUM Masters's students (2-4 team members)
• Enrolled in a relevant discipline (with a main focus on engineering, entrepreneurship, or policy)
• Interdisciplinary collaboration strongly recommended

Successful TUM teams will benefit from expert mentoring, international visibility, networking opportunities, and full sponsorship to participate in the Symposium in Johannesburg.
