The TUM SEED Center invites applications for a Master’s Scholarship for an Exchange Semester at the Technical University of Munich (TUM), Germany.
The scholarship supports one exchange semester at TUM from 1 October 2026 to 31 March 2027.
The TUM SEED Center is an Excellence Centre for Exchange and Development, funded by DAAD and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development. It conducts research and offers higher education at the intersection of Sustainable Energies, Entrepreneurship, and Development (SEED) in the Global South.
Who can apply?
This scholarship is open to Master’s students currently enrolled at one of the TUM SEED Center partner universities:
- Bahir Dar University
- Institut Teknologi Bandung
- Burkina Institute of Technology
- Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology
- Indian Institute of Technology Bombay
- Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology
- Makerere University
- Namibia University of Science and Technology
- Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú
- Stellenbosch University
Applicants must:
- Be currently enrolled as a Master’s student in a field related to sustainable energies, sustainable entrepreneurship, interdisciplinary or energy policy
- Have an excellent academic track record
- Demonstrate extracurricular skills, social engagement, and strong motivation
- Show a keen interest in sustainable development and interdisciplinary research at the intersection of sustainable energies and entrepreneurship

What is funded?
The scholarship includes:
- A monthly stipend of EUR 992
- Additional insurance reimbursement of up to EUR 100 per month
- Flight tickets
- Semester fee
- Participation in TUM SEED Center events

The application process consists of two steps.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview. Selected candidates will be nominated for the scholarship.
Step 2: Application at TUM
After nomination, selected students will receive further instructions from the TUM Global Office regarding the official exchange student application.
