SEED Student Initiative Founder Scholarship
To foster our mission on all levels, SEED has counted student initiatives within its community since 2023. Together with our partners, we selected eight inspiring and motivated students who brought to life a student organization at their home universities to bridge theory and practice for tangible impact at the grassroots level.
Their activities range from community-driven projects to the implementation of inventive solutions, embodying the ethos of the SEED Center.
The scholarship program
The TUM SEED Student Initiative Scholarship Program is a collaborative effort with the Partner University SEED Center. Awarded students receive a monthly scholarship for activating a proposed initiative and benefit from comprehensive capacity development programs. These include international training and experiences, enriching their skill set. Coupled with close mentorship on organizational development and idea validation, the program offers a holistic approach. This combination of financial support, mentorship, and international exposure ensures a meaningful and impactful experience for the recipients, aiming to impact the local societies in their home countries to make a difference.
TUM SEED Center thereby collaborates closely with TU eMpower Africa e.V., an independent non-profit organization, originating from a student initiative and subsequently evolving into a mature and self-sufficient entity. TU eMpower Africa e.V.'s success and expertise make them a valuable addition to our Student Initiative Scholarship Program. Leveraging their experience, they act as mentors to our student founders, guiding and nurturing the initiatives of our scholarship recipients.
