Center for Sustainable Energies, Entrepreneurship, and Development (SEED Center) in the Global South

The SEED Center is a global network that connects universities in Africa, Asia, and Latin America to collaborate on sustainable energy, entrepreneurship, and policy.
We focus on Sustainable Development Goal 7: access to affordable, reliable, and clean energy for all. Today, approximately 675 million people still live without access to electricity, primarily in rural regions of Sub-Saharan Africa and Southeast Asia.
Through research, teaching, and real-world βliving labsβ such as solar mini-grids and community enterprises, we co-create solutions that power rural communities, strengthen local economies, and build the partnerships needed for a just and inclusive energy transition.
