Organisational Structure of the HyperMet Research Unit
The HyperMet Research Unit operates through a structured organizational model that ensures coherent governance, efficient coordination, and seamless integration of scientific and administrative activities. At its core stands the Steering Committee, which provides scientific leadership and strategic oversight. It is supported by the HyperMet Office, operated by a dedicated Science Officer.
To distribute responsibilities efficiently, HyperMet follows a department‑style organizational model. The consortium comprises eight Ministries, each led by designated Principal Investigators. These departments cover essential operational domains—such as finances, scientific monitoring, collaboration management, advanced metabolic research methods, public relations, research data handling, career development, and diversity/equal opportunities.
Together, the Steering Committee and the Ministries ensure coordinated decision‑making, high scientific quality, and smooth administrative functioning across all subprojects. This framework enables HyperMet to operate as a coherent, interdisciplinary research unit with clearly defined responsibilities and effective internal communication.
